Logistics
A market leading National Logistics Company:
:: Client Situation
Increasing market pressures on margin had resulted in a corporate review of all internal budgets with a directive to source world-class services at best value.
The in-house Supply Chain operation faced escalating fixed-costs and had difficulty in sourcing the skills they required to remain competitive and achieve challenging SLA’s.
:: Solution
A joint working party was established to review the current operational and budgetary challenges. Together a transformation project plan was developed with both parties having responsibility to deliver key elements in a short time frame and against tight financial parameters. Through our extensive knowledge of the labour force in a highly competitive market for these skills, we agreed a Managed Service contract, which delivered the initial cost-reduction requirement as well as allowing flexibility for future growth.
